Julie B. Kessler is the President of JBK Health Information Consulting. JBK provides Coding, Validation and HIM services to hospitals, outpatient, physician and Article 28 facilities in the New York and New Jersey area.
Prior to founding JBK ten years ago, Ms. Kessler worked at various hospitals and Ambulatory Surgery Centers as a coder and Director of HIM respectively. She was the former director of the Health Information Technology Program at Molloy College. Julie is an extremely experienced coder, auditor and educator.
Ms. Kessler is currently the Co-Chairperson of the Education Committee for the Long Island Health Information Management Association (LIHIMA). She has earned a B.A. in Psychology from SUNY Stony Brook, a B.S. in Health Information Management from C.W Post and a Master’s in Public Administration from Baruch College.
